Kanai’s cube is really interesting in Diablo 3. Here we will show you how to quickly find and use the cube in the ruins of Sescheron in Act 3.

What is that? Kanai’s Cube is a mechanic in Diablo 3 that allows you to use affixes from weapons, equipment, or jewelry without wearing the corresponding weapon, equipment, or jewelry. To do this, you transport the desired part into the cube, remove its magic and then activate it at the push of a button.

The cube came into play with patch 2.3.0 and is dedicated to a deceased employee.

Find Kanai’s Cube – Location in Act 3

Here you should search: Start a game in Adventure Mode and then teleport to the Ruins of Sescheron in Act III. On the map you will find the location in the northeast.

Once there, walk through the randomly generated map to find the blue glowing entrance to the “Sanctum of the Elders”.

In the Sanctum of the Elders, look for a small room at the edge of the level. It is square in structure and has a small platform in the middle to which a few steps lead up. On the pedestal you will find Kanai’s cube.

If you are there for the first time, Zoltun Kull will speak to you and say a few words about the cube. The cube is then released and “clickable” for you. Collect it now.

    What should you use? One of the most important functions is the removal of legendary properties. After you have withdrawn them, click on the corresponding location in the cube (weapon, armor, jewelry) and select the withdrawn bonus there. So you have it active without having to equip the piece of equipment.

    Kanai’s cube opens portals with braided ring and cattle bardice

    What’s special? You have the option of opening special portals in the cube with a braided ring or the cattle bardice.

  • Braided Ring: Place this ring in the ingredients window of Kanai’s Cube and click “Transmute” to open a portal to the “Realm of Treasures”.
  • This is worth it if you’re looking for loot from goblins (gems, blood shards, etc.) and want to take advantage of the chance to get rare items
  • Cattle Bardike: Place this weapon in the ingredients window of Kanai’s dice and click “Transmute” to start the cow level
  • This is particularly worthwhile for materials, gold, massacre bonuses and experience points

    • Consider: If you use these items to open portals, they will be destroyed when transmuted. But it’s especially worth it if you’re traveling as a group and complete the portals at high levels of difficulty.

    Don’t throw away the braided ring or beef bardice. If you use them to open portals, they are much more valuable. In both portals you will find several legendary items, from which you can ultimately obtain more crafting material than if you were to disassemble the items directly.
