In which order should you best skill the Altar of Rites? We show you the best order in Season 28 of Diablo 3.

What is this altar? The Altar of Rites is the big seasonal theme of Season 28 in Diablo 3. The feature works like a big skill tree where you can activate 29 different powers (3 of which are enhanced potions).

It is up to you in which order you unlock which skill. However, since these unlocks cost material that is sometimes difficult to obtain, the question arises: In what order should you unlock the seals? We looked at the opinions of experts and show you the results here.

Optimal skill order for Altar of Rites

What the experts say: We took a look at what YouTuber Rhykker (via YouTube.com) and the maxroll.gg team have to say about the specs. They are known for being experts on the Diablo 3 scene. They regularly release detailed guides for the different classes and builds that you can use to get the most out of it.

If you break down the statements, 2-3 possible skill sequences emerge:

Tier 1 – Forgoes crit resource

  • A: You always have to choose
  • C: Choose Annointed to be fully equipped with level 70 yellow items by level 18. This makes leveling so much easier

  • C: Choose Annointed to be fully equipped with level 70 yellow items by level 18. This makes leveling so much easier

  • N: Choose Vigor to fill your resource on critical hits

    • Who uses this? If you depend on your resources and are playing a build that relies heavily on crit, this order is a good idea.

    Remember: You can and should unlock the skills AA (Mother) and AB (Mortal) as soon as you have the Archaic Ashes for them.

    You can see that the sequences differ only slightly. There are other variations, where you initially do without the quality of life content entirely and only focus on damage and toughness. This should especially appeal to the players who are keen to finish on the first ranks in the leaderboard right on day 1.
