Di Raimondo (Asstel): “TLC supply chain at the Transitions center: permanent training is needed”

Di Raimondo Asstel TLC supply chain at the Transitions center

(Finance) – Industrial supply chains today have to deal with multiple ongoing transitionsor – technological, cultural, demographic, environmental and energy – which have an important impact on work. To face this challenge it is necessary to have the ability and tools to connect skills and work effectively in the present, while also looking at sustainability in the future. The challenge we face is above all human, because it is people who make the difference, and must be accompanied by the evolution of skills and professionalism. It is therefore necessary to invest in expanding and strengthening the skills of the people in force, hiring young people and encouraging the generational bridge, the collaboration between the 4 generations, to build a competitive, sustainable and inclusive job”. He declared it Laura Di Raimondo, general director of Asstel-Assoteconomia during the event held today at the Chamber of Deputies ‘The challenge of transitions: connecting skills and work’, organized by the Hon. Tiziana Nisini, Vice President of the XI Commission (Public and Private Work).

“The Telecommunications Supply Chain is facing – driven by technological and market drivers – its transformation into an “ecosystem”. This leads companies to rethink internal processes and implement new work organization models. To achieve this objective it is necessary to fill the existing skills gap and the companies in the Supply Chain, in the dual role of users and enablers of highly technological services, act on two levers: they continue to implement training programs to strengthen and expand the skills of people in strength and support the need to invest in young people, to improve the country’s digital and STEM skills that enable the professions of the present and future. Asstel plays an active role in this process by collaborating and interacting with institutions and the world of education to prepare people to face organizational and cultural changes at work. To this end, Asstel has mapped 70 emerging professional profiles, including the most innovative ones that allow you to interact with Artificial Intelligence and make the most of the potential of the transitions underway. It is then necessary to have regulatory tools that can accompany work transitions and facilitate the bridge generational, we need a ‘toolbox’ suited to the challenge of building a modern, efficient and sustainable work organisation”concluded Di Raimondo.

Also participating in the round table were: Claudio Durigon, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, Paola Nicastro, President and CEO of Sviluppo Lavoro Italia Agostino Di Maio, General Director of Assolavoro, Antonio Liotti, Chief People & Organization Officer of Leonardo, Ernesto Martinelli, Head of People and Organization Global Industry, Markets and Services of Enel, Gian Luca Orefice, Chief Human Resources Officer of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane.
