The committee investigating the storming of the Capitol last year will vote on whether to recommend that ex-president Donald Trump be prosecuted for, among other things, rioting in connection with the events.
According to the Politico news site, citing sources with knowledge of the matter, the committee investigating the January 6 storming of the Capitol will hold a vote on Monday to decide whether to recommend to the Justice Department that former US President Donald Trump be indicted for his role in the storming.
Even the AP news agency, which also refers to sources with transparency, states that recommendations regarding the prosecution of Donald Trump will be announced on Monday.
In addition to riot charges, the committee is also considering recommending that Trump be charged with obstruction of justice and conspiracy against the United States.
