Poland has delivered the first tanks of the Leopard 2 type to Ukraine, reports the news agency PAP.
The information that the first tanks from the Western world are already in place comes in connection with the fact that Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is in Kiev. According to PAP, Morawiecki will present the delivery later today.
In total, Poland has said that the country will send 14 Leopards to Ukraine.
A number of other countries have also said they will contribute such tanks, after the manufacturing country Germany gave the green light.
