For the Spider-Man 4 project, which was canceled exactly 15 years ago, previously unshared visuals and important details have emerged.
Although Sony and Marvel are praised for their Spider-Man movies starring Tom Holland, the Spider-Man trilogy, released in the 2000s, has a special place in the hearts of moviegoers and comic book fans. Finally, we know that there is a 4th movie that was canceled after this trilogy starring Tobey Maguire, whom we watched as Peter Parker once again in the movie No Way Home. Here are some details about this project that have never been disclosed before.
Details from Spider-Man 4, which was canceled 15 years ago
Especially for Spider-Man 4, which had a great share in canceling the criticisms of the third movie, some details about the villain of the movie were shared exactly 15 years later. Comic book writer Ken Penders showed off the mechanical wings designed for the movie’s villain, Vulture, via his social media account.
“Spider-Man 4 was actually being worked on before Sony said goodbye to Tobey and Sam (Raimi),” said Penders. “I visited friends who were working on the costume designed for actor John Malkovich to portray the character of Vulture. When production stopped, all materials were delivered. I kept this for almost 15 years.”
According to concept artist Jeffrey Henderson, it has been stated that there will never be a main antagonist in Spider-Man 4, but instead a group of C- and D-class villains, namely a handful of classic Spider-Man villains. Among them, it was noted that there may be characters such as Mysterio, Shocker, Prowler, Rhino and maybe even Stilt Man.
