There is a complete standstill on national highway 56 outside Eskilstuna after a traffic accident, the police write.
The accident happened around 12:30 on Sunday. A car has crashed at high speed.
The police are on the scene and state that there is “a lot of rubbish on the road”.
It is unclear if anyone was injured in the accident.
The rescue service in Arvika works to put out a fire in a villa.
– It must be a villa that is affected and there is a fire in the attic, roof ridge and back. A forecast of four hours is expected, says Helena Wickberg at SOS Alarm.
Four cars from the rescue service are on the scene, and seven cars have been alerted there.
There are no reports of personal injuries. According to the police’s initial information, no one is in the villa.
Several men have been arrested after a suspected serious rape in Hammarbyhöjden in southern Stockholm.
The crime occurred indoors in an apartment.

It is currently unclear whether it is a dangerous object, a drone will check the area and the object, the police write on their website.
– The drone will take pictures and, depending on how the object is assessed, the national bomb protection will be called in.
Pictures have been sent to the bomb shelter, the police have not yet been able to determine whether the object is dangerous or not.
Accommodations in the area have been asked to stay inside.

A cyclist has been hit at an intersection in Landskrona.
Emergency services, police and ambulance are on site.

The alarm came in before 11 o’clock.
A person has been found dead at a campsite in Borlänge municipality, the police say.
The first alarm came in at 03.54 regarding a fire in a caravan. The emergency services went to the scene and extinguished the fire.
Then a person was found in the burned-out wagon.
The person has not yet been identified, but the police have notified the next of kin of the person believed to have died.
The police are now investigating the incident as arson.
– There are no signs that anyone else has done anything. We have no witness who saw it. So we need to classify it as arson, says Mats Öhman at the police.
The area is cordoned off and technicians have been called in to investigate the crime scene.
A man was attacked and beaten early in the morning in Falun when he was on his way home.
The man was hit in the head and face but managed to tear himself away and was helped by some neighbors who called an ambulance.
– According to him, it is his story and there is no reason to doubt it. It was a random person who did this, says Mats Öhman, press spokesperson at the police.
The injuries were not life-threatening.
Now the police are appealing for help and looking for witnesses who may have seen the assault or who believe they have information about the perpetrator.

A large-scale vaccination against polio has started in Gaza, the hospitals in the war-torn area confirm.
The hope of the UN and Gaza’s health authorities is to succeed in stopping an outbreak of the virus, which a ten-month-old infant was diagnosed with in August, and which was previously found in sewage.
According to Al Jazeera the infant is the first person infected with polio in 25 years in Gaza.
Vaccination is expected to continue in central Gaza until Wednesday and then begin in the northern and southern parts of the area.
The campaign started with a small number of vaccinations on Saturday. The goal is for around 640,000 children to be vaccinated against polio.
– There are many drones flying over central Gaza and we hope that the vaccination campaign for children will go smoothly, says Yasser Shaabane, director of al-Awda hospital.
On Thursday, Israel and Hamas agreed to a three-day humanitarian pause in Gaza starting on September 1 to allow for polio vaccinations.
Sales of lice remedies have increased by around 23 percent over the past four weeks, according to Apotek Hjärtat reports P4 Kronoberg.
The main reason is believed to be the start of preschool and school, when many children meet again after the summer, which can lead to increased spread.

The Israeli organization Forum for Hostages and Missing Families writes on X that they will hold a demonstration in Tel Aviv during the day, and goes on a strong attack against Netanyahu’s government.
“The families of the kidnapped are encouraging the public to come to a huge demonstration, a shutdown of the state and an agreement to get the hostages released now,” the statement reads.
Furthermore, it is written that the demonstration will begin at 19.00 and will be held in Tel Aviv.
Several other demonstrations will also be held during the day, the organization states.
At 9 a.m. on Sunday morning, the police start the search operation again for the 60-year-old Norwegian man who is missing in Älvdalen.
At 12:30 on Saturday, the police helicopter found the man’s canoe lying upside down in Hånån. He had traveled with dogs which were located on land near the canoe.
– We have a helicopter and dog on site today, says Mats Öhman, press officer at the police in Bergslagen.
Yesterday mountain rescuers assisted with the search. Mats Öhman believes that they will help even today.
– There is a hope of finding him alive, he says.
A boat on land started burning outside Aneby during the morning.
According to the rescue service, the work is hampered by the fact that a welding gas cylinder exploded, reports Smålands–Tidningen.
There is no risk that any buildings will be damaged, but there is, however, a small risk that the fire could spread out into the terrain, according to the newspaper.
According to the Swedish Transport Administration, train traffic between Tranås and Nässjö has been stopped due to the fire.
