Details: Russian military plane has crashed

A large Russian military aircraft has crashed in the Russian city of Belgorod, near the border with Ukraine, Reuters reports and refers to Russian media.
63 people are feared dead.

A video has been circulated online showing a plane falling to the ground and exploding.

Over 60 people are feared dead

According to information spread online, 63 people were on board the plane. All must be dead. However, Russia’s Ministry of Defense claims that it is 65 prisoners of war, six of the crew and three other people who were on the plane, according to Reuters.

It must be a cargo plane of the Ilyushin Il-76 model.

Russian Governor: Serious event

The governor of the Russian Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announces that he has traveled to the scene, but so far only refers to a serious incident.

Shortly before Gladkov’s announcement, he had announced that there was a formal air traffic alert in the border region.
