Details: Polestar’s big bet may end up in Gothenburg

There is no official decision on the matter, but internal discussions are to be held about where the car company should invest in Europe, which may now have gone to Gothenburg, according to the information to Ekot. Polestar does not want to comment on the data.

At the same time, the company has been hit hard by the delay of the new Polestar 3 electric car model, which has contributed to the fact that 170 people in Sweden have been notified of layoffs.

If there is a major investment in Sweden, the new jobs will be created in the long term.

Today, the company has its headquarters in Gothenburg and a total of around 1,700 employees in Sweden. It is owned by, among others, Volvo Cars and is listed on the stock exchange in New York.
