Police and ambulance were called to an address in Söderhamn at 04.30 on Friday morning.
Later in the day, the police stated that a person was found dead in a residence and that a preliminary investigation into murder has been initiated. They are otherwise very tight-lipped about the matter and only want to state that “the person is suspected of having been killed by crime”.
According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, the murder victim, a man in his 30s, was shot to death in the home.
Three people were arrested on Friday on suspicion of involvement in the fatal shooting, according to TV4 Nyhetern’s information. One of them is said to have been in the home in which the victim was shot to death. He is said to have tried to deceive the police, but medical personnel are said to have later discovered the gunshot wounds to the victim.
The crime scene was examined yesterday by forensic experts and several house searches were carried out “in places of interest to the investigation”, according to the police.
The Söderhamn police did not want to make any further comments on Saturday.
