Israel is expected to propose a six-week ceasefire in Gaza, according to Israeli information to Reuters. In exchange, 40 people from the Hamas hostages are to be released.
On Monday, a new round of talks on a possible ceasefire will begin in the Qatari capital, Doha. Among others, Israel’s intelligence chief David Barnea and a number of Egyptian officials are participating.
Due to communication difficulties between Hamas’ foreign delegates and the terrorist-branded movement’s leaders in besieged Gaza, the negotiations are believed to take at least two weeks, Reuters reports.
