After several months of discussions, the German newspaper states Der Spiegel that Chancellor Olaf Scholz decided to supply tanks to Ukraine.
The information comes after Poland has repeatedly asked for Germany’s permission to send its Leopard 2 tanks. During Tuesday, information spread that the United States will also send tanks to the war-torn country.
Germany’s largest arms manufacturer Rheinmetall has previously announced that the company is ready to deliver 139 Leopard tanks within the next year.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyi has previously expressed that the tanks are at the top of the wish list in the war against Russia.
