Metsola will be the head of the first European Union (EU) institution to visit Kiev after the start of the Russian offensive.
Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa went to Kiev and met with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy.
