The Belgian government allegedly received information from American intelligence that “Ukraine had a role” in the explosion at the Nord Stream pipeline.
In the news in the Belgian newspaper De Tijd, it was stated that shortly after the explosion in the Nord Stream pipeline in September 2022, the Belgian military intelligence obtained some information from the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
The news alleged that Ukraine had a role in the sabotage of Europe’s energy infrastructure. The claim was based on sources with very good knowledge of the subject.
The newspaper commented that the intelligence services of Western countries, including Belgium, had been informed about the sabotage for months.
Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder’s spokesperson said they would not comment on the newspaper’s claim.
