Ukraine has destroyed one of the transport planes of the Russian military, the Ukrainian military intelligence service announces.

The plane, a Tupolev Tu-134, was set on fire this weekend in the Orenburg region of southern Russia, about 100 miles from the Ukrainian border. It was completely destroyed in the fire, Kyiv Independent reports.

“Soviet-era planes like this are used in particular to transport the leadership within the Russian Ministry of Defense,” the intelligence service wrote on Telegram, where they published images from the fire.

Russia has not commented on the incident.

Ukraine has increased the number of attacks inside Russian territory in recent months, with the aim of destroying Russia’s military logistics.
