In Destiny 2, it’s only a little over 2 weeks until the Guardians will don their new Strang garb. Among other changes, the new subclass is by far the most important feature of the Lightfall extension. We will therefore show you an overview of all aspects, fragments and grenades in advance. So you can start thinking about builds now.
What is strand? The Strand ability is the newest subclass in the loot-shooter Destiny 2. It will be released with the upcoming Lightfall DLC on February 28th, 2023 and will give every class, i.e. Titan, Warlock and Hunter, new ways to defeat opponents and move around.
Creating an object with a strand is called “weaving” and killing enemies is “unraveling” them. Dead enemies also leave a “tangle” usable by Guardians.
The strand class descriptions sum up the new ability:
In addition to the new ability itself, players will be able to customize Lightfall Strand primarily through aspects and fragments. They will continue to improve the usefulness of Strang. There will also be so-called “Shared Abilities” and new grenades.
MeinMMO gives you a quick skill overview for all 3 strand classes in this article. First of all, this trailer gives you a good, brief insight into what Strang looks like in the game.
All strand subclasses in Destiny 2 Lightfall
Titan – Berserker and Shredder of All
What can the Titan with strand do? Instead of using fists, Titans in Lightfall from Strang will use their fists to fashion imposing blades to shred the enemy’s ranks.
Special advantage: While it seems Titans are just “thrashing about” again in Lightfall, Bungie emphasized that the class should still feel fresh for all veteran Titans. So wrap yourself in the fabric of reality and go berserk.

Titans are having a bit of an identity crisis right now. But hopefully that will pass quickly, because actually it’s fun to be a titan:
Class from Destiny 2: Lightfall can only use their fists again – Bungie says about the identity crisis
Warlock – Scionweaver and “String Aphid” Minion Master
What can the warlock with strand do? Warlocks will be able to shape things out of strands in Lightfall. With the new Lightfall subclass, their own powerful “strand aphid” army is created, which attacks enemies or, when there is nothing to do, hangs out with you.
Special advantage: Although the three other classes can also use the “threads”, as they are officially known, the Scionweaver is still the minion master of this new and enemy-eating species.

If you don’t know what the term “aspect” means, here is the explanation:
Bungie will continue to expand the options for Strang throughout the Seasons of the Lightfall expansion, giving players even more options for Strang as Seasons progress.

Hunter – Threadwalker and superhero acrobat
What can the hunter with a rope do? While all three classes will use the new “Hangel” ability, the Hunter is still a master of the rope-airs. His movement looks the best of all three classes, and he’s not just swinging his rope grapple lasso at enemies. He is also adept at using it for locomotion.
Special Hunter Perk: The hunter will be the only class that is a trailblazer for their teammates at high altitudes through the Widow’s Silk strand aspect. When his team latches on to grapple points he creates, it doesn’t cost them any grapple energy. This allows a squad to cover huge distances together. If you can coordinate this together.

This gives you a complete overview of all of Strang’s skills in Season 20 for the respective classes. But there is also more to discover.
String grenades and fragments of all classes
For each class that draws power from the weave and is lured into darkness by the promised strength, there are also shared abilities in the form of cord grenades and fragments.
What grenades does Strang offer? With Strang, players will be able to use new grenade types in Destiny 3. Including shimmying, which can be controlled with the grenade button.
In addition to the three grenade options, there are 4 elementary strand fragments:
These are all the new abilities that await you in Lightfall with Strang. From grubs that seek out enemies to bombastic Supers to innovative new ways of locomotion. So feel free to tell us in the comments which power appeals to you the most. And if you’re currently considering switching classes for Lightfall, please let us know why.
By the way, this Monday there will be more announcements from the game director, Joe Blackburn, personally, as he himself revealed on Twitter.
