Before the modern DLC “Lightfall” starts in Destiny 2, you can now play the current “The Witch Queen” DLC for free for a short time. But you have to hurry, because you only have time this weekend to try out the spacey loot shooter and get the best items in the expansion forever.
What’s Free Now in Destiny 2? As announced by Bungie in-game and on the official Twitter account, all players will be able to re-dive into the standard version of The Witch Queen DLC for free before Lightfall launches.
The free weekend is available for Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, MS Store and Epic Games and starts on February 23rd at 6:00 p.m.

Until then, you can experience Savathun’s story and also get hold of her exotics. After that, the servers will go offline for 24 hours before the new expansion “Lightfall” starts.

How can I participate? For Xbox, interested Guardians need only search their platform’s store for “Destiny 2 The Witch Queen” to gain access.
PlayStation, Steam, Epic Games, and MS Store players, on the other hand, just need to log into the game and The Witch Queen DLC content will be available automatically.
No additional content needs to be downloaded. The Witch Queen Standard Edition is simply unlocked in your installed game.
Extra benefits for PlayStation Plus subscribers: The free offer is currently also valid for the DLC “Beyond the Light”. This expansion is also still available for PlayStation Plus subscribers and grants access to unlock the Stasis ice ability for free. Here you just have to remember to redeem this before March 6, 2023.

The Witch Queen expansion in particular is considered by many to be one of the best campaigns Destiny 2 has had to offer in recent memory. And now you can discover Savathun’s throne world for free.
