Bungie has now revealed all of the “new” weapons for the upcoming free event “Into the Light” for Destiny 2. 12 guns are waiting for you, including a shader that players have been waiting for for years. We’ll show them to you.
Why do these rewards exist? Destiny 2 still has many weeks to go before the developers release “The Final Shape” DLC, and to bridge that time, Bungie is bringing the free “Into the Light” event.
The event brings you a new horde mode, a social space, and 12 iconic weapons that you can earn. Bungie would like to apologize for delaying the DLC and keep players hooked for some time until the DLC is released.
The developers have now revealed all of the event’s important rewards in a stream and, in addition to 12 iconic weapons from the history of the loot shooter, there is also a legendary shader for stylish guardians.
12 weapons and a legendary shader
What rewards will there be? The developers introduced 12 iconic weapons in their stream that players can earn in “Into the Light”. The following are known:
The interesting thing here is that all weapons are given two versions. A normal version and then a rare limited version with a shader. The rare variant can appear on all 12 weapons, but once The Final Shape DLC is released, this limited version of the weapons will no longer be available for purchase.
What is this legendary shader? As the developers walked through the new Guardian Halls of Fame, a reward was revealed that players will receive if they put in the work. The reward is a shader, the “Superblack” shader from Destiny 1.
Why is the shader so special, you ask? Because he’s completely black. It covers your Guardian in a rich black without any pattern or anything like that. Players have wanted a shader like this since the beginning of Destiny 2, but now the time has come. The shader is as it seems, but coupled with a lot of grind. Be prepared for it.
What do you think of the weapons and shader? Will you treat yourself to these items or would you rather just stop by when the DLC is released? Let us find out in the comments!
