Destiny 2 has the biggest and most interesting presentation of Lightfall – the ViDoc. There, players will be able to learn a lot of new things about the upcoming DLC from the developers first-hand. MeinMMO accompanies the reveal and reports on all the cool details of the announcement in the live ticker.
What expansion is Destiny 2 introducing today? Triple-A studio Bungie will announce the latest and fifth DLC for Destiny 2 called “Lightfall” today, February 16, 2023. In addition, the guardians announced “We were made for this moment.”
What is the ViDoc exactly? “ViDocs” are video documentations that Bungie mostly releases for large expansions. They introduce the features of upcoming content. These videos give players a glimpse into the creative development process and include interviews with various Bungie employees who worked on that aspect of the game. There is also a large amount of game material to see.
The end has not yet come
What’s happening in Destiny 2 right now? In Lightfall, the Guardians don’t just have to use the new power “Strang”. You must also face the darkness to defend the light. Because currently the traveler is alone against a huge fleet of pyramid ships and has nowhere to go.
New ability from Destiny 2 pulls at the strings of reality – This is what Strand 3.0 can do
The witness, on the other hand, has all the strings in his hand. He has his newest apprentice, Calus, whom he now commands, and he rigorously uses the darkness to his advantage. Now he has arrived on earth and has his goal, the traveller, right in front of him. So it means: Showdown ahead!
Things are finally getting serious with Lightfall: Season 19 ended with one of the most gripping cutscenes since Caydes-6’s death, marking the beginning of the end of the great saga of light and darkness in Destiny 2. All of this should lead to the “Final Form”, the last DLC. How Destiny 2 will continue after that is still uncertain.
The last hope for the Guardians is currently a message from Season 19 from the Warmind Rasputin. He revealed to players that Savathun hid something called “the veil” on Neptune. It could be mankind’s last hope and perhaps prevent the second, impending downfall.
The Neptunian city in Osiris’ visions exists!. I don’t know exactly where, but there is “the veil,” an object of great paracausal power. It is connected to the traveller.

So, following the terrific finale of Witch Queen Season 19, if you want to know and most importantly see more details about what’s coming after that in Lightfall, then today’s presentation is a must-see.
Bungie has already fueled the anticipation for today’s event and provided a short video teaser as a foretaste, which you can watch here:
