Destiny 2 recognizes one of the biggest problems in PvP, but fixes one in PvE first

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Destiny 2’s new TWaB has been unveiled and many players are hoping that Bungie will finally address the serious bugs in the tough PvP mode Iron Banner. But instead of naming imminent changes, for now polished the PvE.

What’s going on in Destiny 2 right now? The iron banner is burning and so are the players, because with the new “Rift” mode not only did many guards have to change their playing style to team play, but they also had to fight many bugs.

Update on June 4th/ 12:30 am
Bungie didn’t mention anything about a quick hotfix for the Iron Banner event issues in the official blog article. But dmg04, the community manager, still gave hope to the players on Twitter. The team may be able to offer some solutions before the current Iron Banner event ends. That’s what happened.

Bungie has just brought the following quick fixes into play:
– Challenges now properly grant reputation bonuses, up to a maximum of 4 Daily Challenges.
– Due to this issue, double Iron Banner reputation has been enabled for all players until the weekly reset.
– The “Heavy As Death” emblem now correctly contributes to Iron Banner’s reputation bonuses.
– Step 5 of the Forging Iron quest will now proceed correctly even if Iron Banner ornaments are equipped.

Countless matches have either been won or lost overwhelmingly and players complain about brute bugs that make a relaxed and smooth game impossible. These include the following problems:

  • Unfair Matchmaking – Mostly fights against teams of 6 that tear you apart
  • Teleport bug where you are only trapped in the black screen
  • The spark disappears and can no longer be collected
  • Various visual bugs when teleporting
  • These problems are even so serious that fans of the loot shooter are threatening the developers. That’s why players hoped that Bungie would finally list fixes in the new TWaB and plan them in advance, because the current Iron Banner event will end soon. But the development team is focusing on PvE for the time being, after the last known announcements.

Solar 3.0 will be improved first

Bungie reports on Iron Banner and clarifies how the new mode is intended. A focus on team play where most kills aren’t the win factor, it’s squad cohesion.

Explained how to get the most Iron Banner Rank Points and that Bungie’s team is working on reported bugs and issues.

But if and when these bugs will be fixed was not mentioned. Instead, Bungie only goes into Solar 3.0 and, at least there, offers adjustments for different classes soon.

Were there problems with Solar 3.0? Bungie’s touted Solar 3.0 left many Guardians disenchanted, and Bungie admitted the new abilities “didn’t melt anyone’s face off.” Above all, the warlocks suffer from the adjustments and nerfs of the fiery class.

The Warlock is struggling with its support

Where a Well of Light once provided an overshield, it now only regenerates your life. With Solar 3.0, the warlock was knocked off his supporter throne. However, this should change with the forthcoming adjustments.

Bungie has announced the following changes for the Warlock and Titan:

  • Warlock
  • Aspect Adjustment – Heat Wave
  • Consuming your grenade unleashes a blast of restoration upon you and your comrades. Consuming a healing grenade increases the healing effect. Even using the Flaming Touch aspect and then consuming a healing grenade will even grant you ongoing regeneration and additional bonuses.
  • Aspect Adjustment – Icarus Hook
  • Enemies killed by your weapons or Super while you are in the air will heal you.
  • Super Adaptation – Dawn Treader
  • Each projectile of dawn adds 10 stacks of scorch to your opponent. This effect can be increased to 15 stacks with the Embers of Ash fragment.
  • titanium
  • Super Customization – Blazing Hammer
  • Damage is increased by 25% in PvE
  • Aspect Adjustment – Roaring Flames
  • While Raging Flames is active, your uncharged melee deals Solar damage to your enemies. Additionally, you can leave your opponent with 30 stacks of scorch per melee, which can be increased to 40 stacks if you have the Embers of Ash fragment equipped.
  • Aspect Adjustment – Consecration
  • You can carry two fragments. The second flame blast of your melee is increased by 25%. With this you can more safely catch your enemies who don’t manage to dodge in time.
  • These Solar changes listed will go live with Hotfix 4.1.0.2 next week. Check out Ikora too. She now also sells the last two fragments for your Solar Super.

What becomes of the Iron Banner now? The Iron Banner has been repurposed into a major event and will be gone for many weeks after the Weekly Reset on June 7th. So Bungie has enough time to adjust the listed bugs until the last Iron Banner of Season 17. Until then, Guardians will likely have to continue dealing with the issues over the weekend.

What do you think of the tight-lipped TWaB regarding the Iron Banner? Would you have liked more information about upcoming adjustments or are you even excited about the Solar 3.0 changes? Let us know in the comments!
