Destiny 2 now has the best Exo weapon against bosses

New exo-weapons are constantly appearing in Destiny 2, which should bring more fun to the players in their everyday shooting. A new rifle, however, is so special that only sadists will enjoy it. We’ll show you which ratchet is meant by that.

Which weapon is it? This is the Spiteful Touch Exotic Scout Rifle. Anyone who knows Destiny 1 knows what a gem it is.

This rifle from the King’s Fall raid is special because your magazine never runs out when firing. You always keep the last shot in the magazine and generate twice the amount of damage per shot.

A sinister tool for maltreating opponents

However, in order to be able to keep firing, you have to pay a price and you do that with your life energy. So if you don’t reload and keep firing, Heart of Oryx drains your life per shot until you either reload or die.

In Destiny 1, the rifle was only used in the King’s Fall raid to take down Oryx and his daughters. The weapon was unsuitable for other bosses, as it quickly killed Guardians. In Destiny 2, however, Bungie has optimized the weapon so that it is now one of the best boss killer weapons that the loot shooter has to offer.

A devastating weapon with hidden effects

To show you just how sick the weapon is in action, Destiny Pro Gladd ran a test. His squad, with a total of six Malicious Touches, has taken on raid bosses and pulverized every one of them.

His video again as proof of the destruction:

Why is the weapon in Destiny 2 so good now? While in Destiny 1 the scout rifle was only able to successfully hold its own against two raid bosses, the rifle in Destiny 2 knows no footing.

Each boss is defeated in a phase and without problems. What is because the Warlock class can use their well to offset the damage taken from the weapon.

Your Malevolent Touch can’t drain your life fast enough as the fountain regenerates your lost life points. In this way you can outwit death and score twice as much damage. But Bungie has tweaked the weapon more to make it even better.

Bungie has made the weapon suitable for everyday use: The rifle has other effects that benefit you. So if you get three kills in quick succession, your life regeneration will be initiated. This makes it easier for you to survive with this weapon.

If you then land 10 more precision hits, Oryx’s heart will be overloaded with Rot. You can then fire this ÜberCharge at your opponents, blinding them and causing them to rot and deal a large amount of damage. However, what many people don’t know is that this blight unleashes a temporary debuff on your opponents on direct hits.

However, this debuff doesn’t work the way you think it does. Instead of dealing increased damage with all weapons, you can only deal increased damage with weapons of darkness on your cursed enemies. This includes:

A small mechanic that can be exploited by Guardians with Spiteful Touch. So if your squad owns this gun, a change of tactics might be of great benefit.

What do you think of the gun? Do you think it’s awesome that Malicious Touch has been implemented so well in Destiny 2 that every Guardian can destroy with it outside of raids? Let us know what you think about it in the comments!
