Destiny 2 introduces 6 new Exos for Lightfall

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

In Destiny 2, Guardians will soon be able to enter the new cyberpunk city of Neomuna. So that you don’t go into battle unprepared, Bungie has revealed 6 new Exos that you can get hold of in Lightfall. We’ll show you what they are and what they’re capable of.

What did Bungie announce? On January 31st at 4 p.m. Bungie prepared a trailer introducing new equipment and weapons. These are mainly exo items that guardians can earn in the new DLC “Lightfall”. In the following paragraph we will explain to you which Exos are available and, above all, what they are capable of.

What Exos will come with Lightfall? According to the trailer, a total of six new Exos appear with Lightfall. The Exos include three new weapons and three new armors. The following are known:

It’s important to note that Witch Queen offered a total of two exo armor for each class when it was released. In Lightfall, the sum of exo armor for the first season has been halved. This could change at the start of Season 20. Or Bungie has split the exotics back into 3 pieces per season after no new exotics could be earned in Witch Queen recently.

Now let’s move on to weapons and armor:

Final Warning – A new focus-oriented pistol

Last warning

What can the gun do? The Final Warning, with its modern design, fires cartridges made of strand. Once you’ve triggered the intrinsic perk, you can unleash a large salvo of homing projectiles. Additionally, based on the footage, we’re assuming she’s firing a 3-shot burst in normal mode.

Deterministic Chaos – A powerful MG for crowd control

Deterministic Chaos

What can the gun do? This MG fires Void projectiles that do different things depending on the shot.

  • The 4th shot weakens targets
  • The 16th shot destabilizes enemies
  • The weapon makes a good first impression and could be particularly useful for crowd control.

Winter’s Bite – A frosty staff with a cool sidekick

What can the gun do? This weapon fires stasis shockwaves, small balls of frost that slowly approach enemies. These fire stasis projectiles, slowing down enemies and can even freeze them if touched.

Cyrtarachne’s Facade – The Nightmare in the Crucible

What can the helmet do? The helmet creates braided armor when hail, according to Bungie. We’re assuming that “hailing” means direct fire while facing down sights. This braided armor increases your flinch resistance and may be of particular interest to Crucible sniper shooters or pulse rifle players.

Hover Jump – Causes hanging enemies

What can the leg protection do? The hover jump generates additional seeker projectiles when using the barricade, which binds your opponents with rope in the air.

Since the description suggests that the barricade spawns more projectiles, it’s possible that the barricade in strand focus is already spawning seekers, but not the amount seen in the trailer.

Swarmers – Flingers that stalk your opponents

What can the leg protection do? The Warlock can use Strang to create novel tangles that then float in the air. Then, with the warlock’s swarm exo, destroying such a tangle creates a thread. These minions seek out nearby enemies, pursue them, and then dematerialize them.

Important at the end: The trailer not only features new enemies like Vex and Cabal, but also an adjusted variant of the Exo Rifle Quicksilver Rush. This auto rifle can be obtained by pre-ordering Lightfall, but so far it only has the kinetic element. In the trailer, however, a different design can be seen, as well as the element “strand” by means of green projectiles.

It remains to be seen if Bungie will adjust this multi-tool after the Lightfall release. But what do you think of the new Exos? Have you already picked a favourite? Let us know in the comments!
