The Guardian Games reward the class that performs best. But now there was already an award ceremony that shouldn’t have happened. There is still no winner, but many are hoping for the Titan class.
Bungie sent the Guardians into various activities to farm medals. They have to hand them in to the altar on the tower to collect points for their class. Every day one class is declared the winner of the day. The class that wins the most days wins the keeper games at the end.
But one message caused confusion. Because whoever logged into the game was informed that the Warlock had won the games. Now Bungie explains: The message is wrong and there is no winner (yet).

What was that mishap? Bungie explains itself:
We are aware that an in-game message announcing the winner of the Guardian Games was sent in error. The Guardian Games have two weeks left and the winning class has not yet been officially announced.
What’s next? The keeper games are still running for almost 2 weeks, in which medals for the games can still be collected. Many are now hoping that the Titan class could win the victory after all.
But that doesn’t seem to be the first bug related to the Keeper Games. For example, after the midseason update in April, the statue in the tower suddenly showed the wrong winning class. And some Warden Triumphs were also activating earlier than intended. Many players found this a bit strange and suspected that something could not be right.
Dead voice actor to be honored with victory
In March 2023, Lance Reddick, the voice of Commander Zavala and “John Wick” star, died unexpectedly at the age of 60. Even then, the Guardians, especially the Titan class, showed their sympathy in the game with vigils.
For the Guardian Games 2023, there was now the idea of honoring the deceased “hero” of the game with a win. That’s why many asked their teammates: Play the Titans too. Because if the Titans win, Bungie will commemorate it with a gold plating of the Titan icon on the Guardian Games statue for 1 year.
