Because in many ways Kris is an average backpacker – think: cheap hostels, simple meals, as many trips and making friends as possible – but in one respect she is not. She has EHS, or: Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. That means that walking for a long time is not possible, she faints quickly, her stomach is bothering her and joints dislocate quickly.
