GTA Online will soon receive the big “Bottom Dollar Bounties” update. A well-known character will also be returning, but not the one everyone was hoping for.
What’s in the new update? The new update for GTA Online is called “Bottom Dollar Bounties” and focuses on new bounty missions. As a bail bondsman, you have to help Maude Eccles, who you may know from GTA 5, earn money.
In return, you can help Maude’s daughter Jenette to track down all kinds of criminals and collect bounties.
In addition to the new bounty missions, the update also includes new vehicles for use by “LSPD Officer” Vincent Effenburger. The update will be released on June 25th on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Fans are waiting for another character
Who are the fans waiting for? Since GTA Online was released, fans have been waiting for the return of the main character Michael from GTA 5. He has not appeared in GTA Online even 10 years after its release.
While Trevor and Franklin have already made appearances in GTA Online, there is still no trace of Michael. Fans have long suspected that Rockstar wants to save the character for the last major update for GTA Online.
On X.com, user @smxo00 writes: “Michael will be, in his own words, ‘The Big One’ at the end of GTA 5’s online mode.”
@JakeW786 also believes this on X.com: “Mark my words: Michael will return in the final update of GTA Online.”
What does the future of GTA Online look like? Although some players may have thought that this would be the last update for GTA Online, that is not the case. Rockstar Games itself published in its Newswire blog (via rockstargames.com) that new drift and drag races, a variety of new vehicles and other new content will be released in the summer and beyond.
What will happen to GTA Online once GTA 6 is released is still completely unclear. Rockstar Games has not yet revealed whether GTA Online will continue to exist, perhaps even continue to receive updates, or whether a new GTA Online will be released with GTA 6 and development of the old GTA Online will be stopped.
GTA Online also lives from the many role-playing servers that have been very popular thanks to streamers and content creators on Twitch. But one streamer took it to the extreme: streamer sends away viewers who are too cowardly for her daring role-playing in GTA 5
