Thanks to the Barbie hype, Margot Robbie is considered one of the greatest actresses on the planet. While other colleagues would take full advantage of the peak in popularity, Robbie would rather be behind the camera in the near future so as not to get on viewers’ nerves.

Speaking to Deadline, Robbie explained:
I think everyone is probably sick of me. I should get off the screen for a while. If I star in a new movie too soon, people will say, ‘That one again? We just spent a whole summer with her. It’s over.’

However, that doesn’t mean that Robbie will now be lazy. When asked by acquaintances whether she would take a break, she simply replied: “I“You know I’m a producer, right?” In the interview she mentions Olivia Wilde’s Christmas comedy Naughty as her next production. With her company LuckyChap she is also responsible for the Ocean’s Eleven prequel with Ryan Gosling.
Robbie also wants to direct films in the future. “I really want to direct.”, she revealed in conversation. “This appeal tickles me. And I don’t know how long I [das Kratzen] can still suppress.”
