Bayern Munich will face Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday in the top battle of the Bundesliga.
Lukas Hradecky prepared for today’s top-flight battle in the German football league by facing five Bayer Leverkusen coaches in Wednesday’s training session Xabi Alonso shot.
Der Spiegel in an interview, the Finnish goalkeeper said that only one of former star player Alonso’s shots hit the goal.
Last season’s champion team Leverkusen, represented by Hradecky, will face Bayern Munich today at 19:30, which is ahead of Leverkusen at the top of the league table.
Last season, Hradecky was the best goalkeeper in the German league in terms of clean sheets. He played in 33 league matches last season, in 15 of which he kept a clean sheet. In the season that has started, Leverkusen’s defense has not been as watertight as last season.
– An average of 2.25 goals per game have been scored against us. Last season, the average was less than one, Hradecky stated.
Bayern Munich have scored 16 goals in their four German league matches this season.
– In that, we have a big piece to bite off, especially against Bayern’s attacking power, Hradecky admitted.
Last Sunday, three goals were scored behind Hradecky, but Leverkusen managed to win 4–3 against Wolfsburg in the end. Hradecky frankly admitted that Wolfsburg’s second goal was partly his fault.
– It was bad. No worries, I’ll know when I’ve ovulated. The third goal goes even more to my account, Hradecky said.
Hradecky also said that he did not know at the time of the interview whether he would play against Bayern Munich or not Matej Kovar on the finish line.
– At last, in the finishing exercises, you can see if the starting line-up has been selected. I’m fine with that, Hradecky said.
