Depression, a taboo disease in France

Depression a taboo disease in France

Nearly one in ten people would be affected by a depressive episode in France, according to Public Health France. The prevalence of depression is twice as common among women, especially between the ages of 35 and 44, and it increases from year to year. To fight against the taboo around this disease, celebrities have shared their ill-being, even suicidal thoughts and daily life under antidepressants.
