Ericsson’s board and CEO Börje Ekholm are once again at risk of being denied discharge. Owner advisor ISS urges its customers to vote no at the annual general meeting again this year, writes Today’s industry.

At last year’s annual general meeting, Ericsson’s owners denied liability for the telecom giant, which is extremely unusual in major listed companies. Driving the process was the American ISS – Institutional Shareholder Services – which advises institutional clients on how to vote on various issues.

According to Di, ISS will also this year recommend its customers to vote no to the discharge of liability for Ericsson’s board and CEO. In a report that the newspaper has read, it is recommended that all board members be denied discharge from liability except for Carolina Dybeck Happe and employee representative Annika Salomonsson, who were both elected to the board last year.
