Dentist explains the mistake you should never make before brushing

Teeth cleaning is very important not only for appearance but also for dental health. The most effective way to prevent cavities and dental tartar is to establish the right brushing routine and stay away from foods that damage tooth enamel. Dr. Sahil Patel said he has seen many times that his patients make many mistakes that can harm their oral health. Apparently one of the biggest mistakes is to wet your toothbrush before adding toothpaste.

YOU SHOULD NOT WET THE TOOTHPASTE

“If you do this, you dilute the paste. The toothpaste already has the right amount of moisture. If it’s wet, it causes you to lather faster and spit out quicker,” said Dr. Patel.

SOFT TOUCH MUST HAVE

Other common habits she advised us to avoid included being too heavy-handed and choosing to floss over interdental brushes. Dr. Patel said: “People often hold their brushes with their fists.” You shouldn’t feel like you’re brushing your teeth. If the bristles are hitting the tooth, it’s not doing a good job. The bristles should be flat against the teeth and have a soft touch.”

Explaining why he chose interdental brushes over floss, the dentist added: “The bristles that clean between teeth can reach corners and difficult areas where a toothbrush cannot reach to remove our plaque. This makes them more effective than floss and comes in many shapes and sizes to ensure a good fit. They’re coming.”

CAUSES INFLAMMATIONS

The dentist stated that if you are going to skip the brushing session, the part you should skip should be when you first wake up. Dr Patel says, “Don’t miss the evening brush.
The saliva in your mouth decreases while you sleep, so the food you eat during the day stays in your teeth and becomes inflamed during the night, causing bigger problems.”
