Alva Stark has had a fast coaching career. She coaches Östersund Basket on weekdays, which she has taken to the SC semi-finals two years in a row, and was named league coach of the year earlier this year.
Since last spring, she is also the national team captain for Denmark, 56th in the world ranking. 27th-ranked Sweden, led by Robin Sandberg, a coaching colleague of Stark’s in the league, awaits in the European Championship qualifiers.
