Denmark has cruised through to the European Championship play-offs.
In the round of 16, a tougher task awaits: the home nation Germany.

The drawn match in Munich secured advancement to the round of 16 in the football championship.
Such an unexpected detail as the ranking after the qualifying game ensured that Denmark took second place behind England ahead of Slovenia in Group C – and thus gets a tough round of 16 final.
Meet Germany
On Saturday, the home team Germany awaits in Dortmund.
– Of course we could have needed a few victories, but we came second and now have the chance to advance even more, says Christian Eriksen, who has now made the most matches, 133, for Denmark’s men’s national team, in SVT’s broadcast.
Denmark started the EC trip against Slovenia, England and Serbia and with the scoreline: 1–1, 1–1 and 0–0.

As the playoffs in Germany continue, something else awaits.
A draw is no longer enough for the “rød-hvide”.
In the round of 16 and beyond, only victories count, regardless of whether they are secured in regular time, extra time or penalties.

England secured the group victory via a 0-0 draw against Slovenia – a result which also means that the Slovenians are through as one of the four group threes.
– It’s an incredible feeling. It has never happened to us. We are proud to advance because it was a difficult group, says Slovenia’s goalkeeper Jan Oblak to SVT.
– We will do our best, as we have done in the last three games.
What opposition awaits England and Slovenia is not clear.
