Danes have fallen silent to remember the victims of Sunday’s mass shooting and to support the victims’ loved ones and everyone affected by Sunday’s events.
Three people were killed, four were seriously injured and three were slightly wounded when a 22-year-old man opened fire in the Field’s shopping center in Copenhagen.
Starting at nine in the evening in front of Field’s at the event (you switch to another service) Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen said that those gathered at the scene show that those who have lost loved ones are not alone.
The event was opened by the Lord Mayor of Copenhagen Sophie Hæstorp Andersen said tonight will show love to those who died, their families and friends, and those who fled the mall. Love is also shown to freedoms and life.
A large number of people have gathered there. The royal family is represented at the event by the crown prince Frederick and the prince Christian.
A 17-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy and a 46-year-old man died in Sunday’s carnage. The seriously wounded are a 50-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman and two 19-year-old women.
In addition to the three slightly wounded, around 20 people were injured while fleeing the shooter.
