While the head of the opposition continues to call the rally in front of the building of the town hall of Istanbul since the arrest of Ekrem Imamoğlu, on March 19, the authorities announced Tuesday, March 25 that more than 1,400 demonstrators have been arrested in Turkey since the start of the protest. Justice notably ordered the arrest of seven journalists and the government announced on Tuesday morning the arrests of 43 “provocateurs”.
