South Korea’s parliament is scheduled to vote on the impeachment today.
In the capital of South Korea, Seoul, thousands of people have gathered to protest the president Yoon Suk Yeol’s in favor of impeachment hours before the parliament is scheduled to vote on the impeachment.
A police representative tells news agency AFP that up to 200,000 protesters are expected in front of the parliament.
Parliament is scheduled to vote on the indictment in the morning Finnish time. South Korea’s opposition accuses the president of treasonous actions because he unexpectedly declared a state of emergency last week.
Yoon barely survived the first impeachment vote last week.
Elsewhere in Seoul, thousands of people have gathered to demonstrate for Yoon.
