“Kristersson resign” chanted several demonstrators as they marched towards the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Stockholm.
The demonstration was one of many to express solidarity with the Palestinian civilian population and to put pressure on the Swedish government to act.
One of those who demonstrated was Felix Bodin. He says that he is mainly influenced by the children who are killed in the war.
– I have three children of my own, so it’s quite easy to imagine, he says.
There were thousands of people in attendance and among the speakers were political, Palestinian and Jewish representatives who all condemned the suffering to which civilians in Gaza are subjected. Both through acts of war, but also the lack of food, electricity, water and medicines.
– I hope it both convinces Palestinian parents that we see them and are with them, but also that we make a difference here by demanding a ceasefire. says protester Naima Jörlander.
