Demonstrating student who defaced UU buildings is given a prison

A 22-year-old student who defaced two buildings at Utrecht University during a pro-Palestine protest last summer has been sentenced to seven days in prison, four of which are conditional. The young woman does not have to go to prison because she spent three days in pre-trial detention after her arrest. However, she must pay 4,000 euros for cleaning and repairing the damage.
