The municipality did not rush into the search for a suitable location for a new secondary school in Overvecht. Thirty locations in Overvecht have been examined. According to the municipality, an area on Grote Trekdreef, where a former primary school with gymnasium is currently located, is most suitable. The construction here can be combined with a sports hall and additional homes on Zambesidreef, Ossewagendreef, Nataldreef and Oranjerivierdreef. According to the municipality, this “gives an impetus to a vulnerable neighborhood”.
