The new Center leader Muharrem Demirok peps up his party after the setback in the election.
– We want revenge, he says in his installation speech.
Demirok was elected yesterday as the new Center leader after Annie Lööf. Today he gave his first speech as party leader. Among other things, he brought up the setback for the party in the election and describes the situation as tough.
– It’s nothing to brag about. The election result was not what we wanted, our rural setbacks are still painful to think about. We lost many strong points and it honestly feels like a thorn in the chest, says Demirok.
– We have to think anew and that we have to change, he says.
