Cyber attackers have also started to threaten our security through our smart devices. For example, although Google takes precautions, attackers are somehow finding new ways to place their malicious apps on the Google Play Store. Apparently, they have added a new one to these roads.
DELETE THESE 35 APPS IMMEDIATELY
A cybersecurity firm has noticed that 35 malicious apps have infiltrated the Google Play Store. Based on publicly available data, the apps were found to have been downloaded more than 2 million times. According to reports, 35 malicious apps are showing ads through its own framework. This means they can also deliver malware to victims who download apps. The 35 malicious applications discovered are listed as follows:

- Art Filter – Deep Photoeffect – 100k+ downloads
- Fast Emoji Keyboard – 100k+ downloads
- Create Sticker for Whatsapp – 100k+ downloads
- Math Solver – Camera Helper – 100k+ downloads
- Photopix Effects – Art Filter – 100k+ downloads
- Led Theme – Colorful Keyboard – 100k+ downloads
- Keyboard – Fun Emoji, Sticker – 50k+ downloads

CHANGED ICON AND NAME
A separate parenthesis has been opened for the malicious application “GPS Location Maps”, which has more than 100,000 downloads. It has been reported that this app has changed its icon and name to “Settings” to make it harder to spot and delete. It was mentioned that the developers of the application used heavy code obfuscation and encryption to make reverse engineering difficult. Thus, it was stated that although the first application uploaded to the Play Store looks legitimate, it can change itself for its purpose after it is downloaded.
