Ice hockey defenseman Jani Hakanpää is moving from Dallas to Toronto on a one-year contract.
Defender Jani Hakanpää moves to play for the NHL club Toronto Maple Leafs. Hakanpää has signed a one-year contract with the club, Maple Leafs says on their website.
32-year-old Hakanpää has previously represented Anaheim Ducks, Carolina Hurricanes and Dallas Stars in his NHL career.
Last season, Hakanpää scored 12 points in 64 games. Hakanpää has played a total of 288 regular season games in the NHL.
The two-meter tall Hakanpää won the world championship in 2019.
