The declaration will soon start landing in many Swedes’ mailboxes. At least if you got a digital mailbox before March 2. Then the Swedish Tax Agency sends out the digital declaration between March 3 and 7.
“You who have a digital mailbox will receive your declaration sent there. If you are under 18, you will receive a paper declaration by mail even if you have a digital mailbox, unless your guardians have approved that mail from the public sector, such as the Swedish Tax Agency, should be sent there, ”writes the authority on the dispatch on its homepage.

Declaration 2025: The mistake you must avoid
News24 have spoken before the declaration times Ola Aronssontax lawyer at the family’s lawyer. He explains what the most common mistake in the declaration usually is.
– One of the most common mistakes when declaring tube trips to and from work. Both that you have misunderstood the rules but also that you push a little on the boundaries. You have to have at least five kilometers to work and earn two hours a day, which is quite a lot in comparison between car and municipal means of transport. Many people push the boundaries, hip a little neighbor and make mistakes.
Another major source of error is, according to Ola Aronsson, those who sell housing and do not have a control of deductions you have the right to use or not use. Basic improvements on the home are quite easy to sort out, the repair is deductible if they have been made for the past five years and amount to five thousand per year.
It makes many errors in the declaration 2025
Aronsson also describes what deductions he predicts that many may make mistakes this year, in addition to travel to and from work.
– Regarding what deductions you can make in the declaration, I think many people make mistakes when it comes to deduction of repair of the property, which may not be deductible, he says and adds:
– Let’s say you have a red house and paint it red again, then it is not valid to deduct because you have to improve the property and not restore it to origin.

Redistributing Rot and Root deduction in the Declaration 2025
Something many miss is to redistribute the grid and root deduction between you and your partner. If your final tax should not suffice, it may be very advantageous that as spouses or cohabitants in a common household you redistribute the deductions between you.
– Something I think many misses is that you have the right to redistribute grid and root deductions between spouse. This means that many people lose the deductions over a full year.
