Decision to anger Putin from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland! They closed the doors

Decision to anger Putin from Estonia Latvia Lithuania and Poland

While Russia’s intervention against Ukraine on February 24 continues, the West continues to impose new sanctions. According to the latest sanction decision, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland will no longer issue Schengen visas to Russian citizens.

IMPLEMENTATION ENTERED

The EU reached an agreement last week to suspend the visa facilitation agreement with Russia from 12 September. Then, the 4 countries announced in a joint statement that they would completely stop issuing visas to Russian citizens.
The application came into effect as of yesterday.

IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO GET A VISA

The rules for Russian citizens when entering other EU countries will now consist of general conditions. It will be more difficult for Russian citizens to obtain a visa, more documents may be required for applications, longer visa procedures and application fees may increase.

Some countries, such as the Baltic states, Poland, Finland, and the Czech Republic, supported this idea for a while, but members such as France, Germany, Greece and the Greek Cypriot Administration opposed it, instead demanding only tightening of controls.
