It has already been decided by the Supreme Land and Environmental Court that the owner has an obligation to move the Student Boat because there is no building permit for it.
Karlskrona municipality, which wants to remove the ship from Hattholmen, has threatened a fine if the boat is not moved – despite that, the ship remains.
On Thursday, the Environment and Public Works Committee took another step in the process and decided on a fine of SEK 350,000.
Finally, it is up to the Land and Environment Court to rule on the amount of the fine.
