Decided for Djurgården – with 47 seconds left

Djurgården continues to run like a train in the hockey Allsvenskan.
The team came back from two deficits against Södertälje before Ludvig Rensfeldt decided with 46 seconds left in regular time.
– Incredibly nice, says Djurgården’s match hero on TV4 after the 4-3 victory.

Djurgården and Södertälje played evenly in the first period and went to the first break with 1-1 on the board.

However, it was not quite as even in the second period, where Södertälje at times had Djurgården under considerable pressure and won the period 1–0.

2-1 SSK before the third, but just 21 seconds into the third, Dick Axelsson gave an answer when he headed in 2-2 on a shot from Colby Sissons.

Decided in the last minute

After that, it was a real island walk with Hawaii hockey that waved back and forth and with two goalies who played big.

With less than seven minutes remaining, Daniel Norbe made it 3-2 to SSK when he was left clean in the castle, but soon after, Patrick Thoresen equalized for Djurgården after a questionable return from SSK’s goalkeeper Frans Tuohimaa.

Södertälje had the chance on the power play with three minutes remaining, but Djurgården rode through the storm and instead it was the visitors who scored a decisive goal when Arvid Costmar rushed a puck behind the SSK goal and served Ludvig Rensfedlt to make it 4-3 with a paltry 47 seconds left on the clock.

Djurgården frying hot

Djurgården continues to lead the series – SSK is third five points behind.

– It’s incredibly nice, says Ludvig Rensfeldt in TV4.

The victory was the team’s fifth straight.

– We like each other and have a lot of fun together. Now we win matches and then it will be even more fun.
