Deceived 82-year-old in apartment – three brothers in court

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

The trial began on Wednesday in Malmö District Court and the first hours were devoted to prosecutor Maja Källen painting a picture of the 82-year-old’s life. He lived alone and was carried away by his age, had a walker and home help.

He had lived in the apartment since childhood and needed help emptying it of some of the things he had accumulated over the years but was not able to do it himself.

After seeing a flyer from the company Seniorhantverkarna, he chose to contact them to get that help.

The Fakhro brothers

Behind the company Seniorhantverkarna that the man hired is the Fakhro brothers, whose garden company SVT Nyheter Skåne has previously reviewed. They came home to the man and took with them some things, which, however, were later found dumped on a bike path in Lund

A little over a week later, the 82-year-old wrote a gift letter in which he gave away his tenant-ownership to one of the brothers, Gabriel Bergqvist (formerly Ibrahim Fakhro), two of the others, Jörgen Johansson (formerly Abd Elrahman Fakhro) and Karl Mikael Nilsson (formerly Nabil Fakhro), stands as witnesses in the gift certificate. It is these three who are now charged with gross fraud.

“Everyone who has met him since then has been able to certify that he has not understood or intended to give away his apartment,” prosecutor Maja Källen said during the first day of the trial.

She says that the man, who had died before the trial, did not understand what he signed. Sydsvenskan was the first to review the case of the 82-year-old.

Denies the allegations

The three brothers all deny the allegations.

– He claims that nothing misleading happened but that this old man with full insight and insight into what he signed has signed this gift certificate, says Sven Severin who is defense lawyer for Gabriel Bergqvist.
