An extensive criminal investigation has been launched after a death in elderly care in Lidköping municipality, reports P4 Skaraborg.
According to the radio channel, the deceased person, who lived in a nursing home, was given the wrong medication by staff in the morning and had to be taken to hospital shortly afterwards. A couple of days later the person died. The incident occurred at the beginning of September and is now being investigated as grossly causing the death of another.
A forensic examination will also investigate whether it was incorrect medication that led to the death.
