TEN THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WERE EVACUATED
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida stated that there were disruptions in road transportation in the northern regions of the Noto Peninsula due to the earthquake, and said that the government was coordinating the aid shipment via sea. Kishida announced that approximately 10 thousand Self-Defense Forces (SDF) personnel took part in rescue and aid operations. Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi stated that the number of people evacuated from their homes due to the earthquake was 57 thousand 360.
