King Felipe of Spain and Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who visited the Valencia region where the flood occurred in Spain, were protested by the public. During his visit to Paiporta, local people chanted “Murderers, murderers”, while some people threw mud at King Felipe.
THEY ATTACKED THE KING AND THE PRIME MINISTER
His guards opened umbrellas to protect King Felipe. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who visited the region with King Felipe, was leaving the region when a group attacked the vehicle he was in. While the people of the region stated that the flood could have been prevented and that the teams were late in responding, the central government announced that it was the responsibility of regional authorities to warn the public.
LOSS OF LIVES INCREASED TO 217
