Queen Elizabeth II of England died at the age of 96. After the death of Elizabeth II, who became the “longest reigning monarch” in the history of England, British newspapers prepared the numbers that will go down in history.

Here are the front pages of the prominent ones from these newspapers.

In the headline of the Daily Telegraph, next to the photograph of the Queen, she wrote a word she said to the relatives of those who lost their lives after the September 11 attacks:

Some newspapers, including the Guardian, wrote only the Queen's name and the dates of her death and birth, without using any text on the first page.  The photograph chosen by the Guardian was one taken by Sir Cecil Beaton at the Queen's coronation.

Mirror, which uses a more recent photo of the Queen, is only on its first page.
